The Promise Land Team

Whitney Moore, Community Engagement Director

Whitney currently serves as our Community Engagement Director, who leads our efforts to create positive change in the Tallahassee community. With a diverse background that includes fashion design and merchandising, Whitney's journey has taken her from bustling cities like Orlando, New York City, and California to the vibrant landscape of sustainable agriculture. It was in California where Whitney's passion for farming and environmental stewardship truly blossomed, leading her to pursue a 12-week farming class with the Wakulla Environmental Institute. As the CEO of the Farmers Institute of Tallahassee, Whitney brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to sustainable agriculture. Her visionary leadership drives our mission to educate, inspire, and connect communities while fostering responsible farming practices. At Promise Land Urban Farm, community engagement, advocacy, farming, and job creation are the four pillars of our efforts. Whitney works tirelessly to bring collaboration, ideas, and interest to our farm, from cultivating crops to curating vibrant farmer's markets. Join us as we work together to cultivate a healthy, Earth-friendly, and equitable local and regional food system. With Whitney's guidance, we are committed to making a positive impact and building a brighter future for all.
